Ages 3, 4, & 5
(During Homily of 10AM Mass, in the Nursery)
IN GOD'S HOUSE
A simple introduction to the sights, sounds, & smells found inside of church
as well as what we do and don't do in God's house.
Ages 6, 7, & 8
(During Distribution of Holy Communion of
10AM Sunday Mass, in Parish House)
SIGNS OF GRACE:
YOU ARE FORGIVEN/YOU ARE LOVED
This group will remain in the church during the homily, but will leave to join Colleen Carlin in the Parish House at the beginning of the distribution of Holy Communion. (We will ensure that those who have already received their First Communion will be first in line to receive Communion along with Colleen on the far right side of the altar rail with Fr. Ed before heading over to the Parish House). The children will be dismissed at approximately 11:45 am.
This new program from the Augustine Institute serves as preparation for both the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion* as well as a great review and reinforcement of truths already learned.
*Seven is the typical age to receive First Communion. This requirement may be waived at the discretion of the Pastor in consultation with the child's parents and the First Communion teacher.
Ages 9, 10, 11, & 12:
(9-9:45AM Sunday mornings, in the Parish House)
CONFIRMATION AND BEYOND
9, 10, 11 & 12 year olds will meet each Sunday from 9:00 to 9:45 am in the parish house, with Jan Meeks teaching. This class will focus on the children developing a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, learning the articles of the Catholic faith as found in the Creed, all with the goal of preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation.
For those who have already been confirmed, this class will be adding "layer upon layer" of our Catholic Faith!
THE BIBLE TIMELINE FOR TEENS
Our youth group will be meeting every Tuesday night (Beginning September 18th) from 7-8:30PM for fellowship, snacks, and a great lesson! This year we will be delving into the Scriptures using the Bible Timeline for Teens.
